Belated Christmas Gift

Published by B under Sari-sari

I’m thinking of what to give my cousin as a belated Christmas gift. She is in the US that’s why I haven’t given her a gift yet. Better late than never, right? Anyway, I’m thinking I’d let her choose from Zenni Optical’s huge selection of Holiday frames and surprise her with what she’ll choose. They have a huge wonderful variety to choose from and I’m sure she’d love at least one from their selection. I love this one in particular and I’m pretty sure she’d love this too, we have almost the same style:

I remember on her last visit here in the Philippines about a couple of years ago, she ordered her prescription glasses here because she thought it was much cheaper here. Well, she actually bought the frame from the US and then brought it here and ordered her lenses here. Looks like she’s not familiar with Zenni Optical or else she would have ordered her glasses from there. And I’m going to tell her about it, I’m sure she’ll be glad to hear about it for they have high quality eyeglasses with very reasonable prices.

Twilight Saga

Published by B under Sari-sari

I finally finished listening to the Twilight Saga’s audiobooks and I loved it! I am actually glad I watched the movie first before reading the books because if not, then the movie would have been a huge disappointment. As always, the books are better than the movie but I’ll still be waiting for the release of the movies to complete the saga.

Watching the movie actually helped my imagination while I listened to the audiobooks. I had to watch the movie again because it kinda confused me which parts were actually in the movie. Haha! And it made me love audiobooks so I’m now looking forward for more.

So Much

Published by B under Sari-sari

I have so much to blog but don’t know exactly where to start. I’m still on holiday mode. Haha! All I can say right now is December 2008 was a very expensive month for me… that is why I don’t like going to malls. But it’s okay, it was worth it. I enjoyed it. Just bear with me, I would post about stuff in the next few days. TTFN!

Hot Air Popcorn Maker

Published by B under Sari-sari

Yesterday, my nephew and I practiced cooking for Christmas day. We’ll help prepare our Christmas day food by making Char Kway Teow and Cheesecake. Anyway, while I was browsing the net for recipes, I came across this no-knead bread recipe and it reminded me that we have a bread maker. I told my nephew about it and he didn’t believe me. So, we asked my mom she asked ask to help look for it. While searching, we found our hot air popcorn machine! I missed that one! I think I asked before where it was and they didn’t know. Now we can make popcorn anytime we want without any hassle! And it’ll be perfect this Christmas vacation since my nephew and I are planning to watch a LOT of movies on my dad’s new home theater furniture and TV! Yay!

Loafers

Published by B under Window Shopping

One of my most favorite pair of shoes are loafers. I love loafers because it never goes out of style and you can wear it with jeans, slacks, shorts, skirts and dresses. It’s a classic and very comfortable too! I remember my very pair of loafers, it’s Italian and the color is like  a brownish maroon. And I went online window shopping today for loafers at SHOEbuy and here are the pairs that I liked:

Bass Wayfarer

Rockport Cushner

Franco Sarto Cash

Gorgeous, aren’t they? I promise myself I’m going to buy me a pair next year! for the meantime, I have to fix my stuff first and put all the office supplies in one place so it’ll be easier when I’m looking for something when doing a project.

Junk Art

Published by B under Sari-sari

Have you ever dreamed of becoming a junk art artist? I’ve always been fascinated by those who could create something that’s three-dimensional, and those who could create something who could create something from junk or objects that’s just lying around, from nuts and bolts to ball lock pins. Take a look at this one for example:

It’s a junk yard fish created by Joe Pogan using various found metal objects. Amazing isn’t it?

Faucet

Published by B under Sari-sari

I was browsing Etsy earlier today, looking for wedding gift ideas for my friends and lookie at what I saw:

Haha! I mean, who would want a faucet on their jewelries? No offense, I’m sure there are others out there who might like it but not me. Not that I think it looks silly but I just don’t know what it is for. I always think of those charms as something that you really, really like or something that you can relate to or something that symbolizes something.

Mickey Mouse MP3 Player

Published by B under Window Shopping

Have you seen these?

Mickey Mouse MP3 Player

It’s a Mickey Mouse MP3 player by iRiver. It’s tiny and it’s cute! I’ve also read that it has good sound quality so considering the price, it is a good buy. It has a LED indicator and you can also use it as a flash storage. The ears are used to adjust the volume and to scroll through the song tracks. It comes with a high-speed USB 2.0 cable and battery life lasts for approximately 9 hours, just connect it to your computer for charging.

I’ve seen a lot of sellers in Multiply and the price ranges from P1200 to P3500, depending on the storage capacity. I’m itching to buy one, the pink one, but I’m thinking if I buy this then buy an ebook reader, then might as well just save up for a second hand iTouch right? My niece bought an 8GB second-hand iTouch in Greenhills for only P8000. And that was a couple of months ago, maybe it’ll be cheaper by the time I buy it. But I’ll still be saving up for these buy a couple for my niece and nephew.

Veronika Decides To Die

Published by B under Mine

Finally, I got hold of my own copy of the book! After days weeks of searching, National Bookstore in Trinoma finally released a few copies. Good thing I went there with my nephew. I was having thoughts when he asked me if I wanted to come because I was feeling lazy. Haha!

I also saw my friend from high school. We talked a little, more like gossiped, haha, about our batchmates. You know, like who recently got married and got separated, who’s dating who, who’s taking diet pills, etc. These gossips just don’t die, do they? I wonder what they say about me…

Handhelds

Published by B under Sari-sari

If somebody tells me to buy a handheld a couple of years ago, I would just laugh at him and tell him I didn’t need one. For me, that time, handhelds are for executives or someone who’s got a really busy schedule and I didn’t. My life before is just office, home and then Anilao on weekends. But now I want one! Take note… not need but want! Haha! I just realized I need it for reading purposes when traveling. Books are bulky and I need all the space I need when packing my stuff when I go on trips.
