Look at what I got for my camera… zoom lens! Yeah baby! I asked my cous in the US to scout one for me in Ebay and to look for one that’s pretty cheap and she found one that costs about $20. Great find huh? Anyway, just a little backgrounder… I bought my camera from a friend about five years ago cause I was interested in attending a photography class being conducted by the Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation (FPPF). I got interested in photography and wanted to try my hand at it because I was surrounded by friends who are great photographers: Glen Abog, Biggs Javellana, Edsel Ochoa and Pierre Oliver Cruz… and they take really amazing photos! I didn’t want to buy a brand new camera cause I wasn’t sure if I’ll like photography or not so I bought this old but reliable Canon AE-1 from Glen. If I’m not mistaken, this was originally Biggs’ camera and then Glen bought it from him. I *heart* this camera and I intend to keep it for as long as it’s still working, besides I don’t have the money to buy a new DSLR. And then I surfed the net to look for zoom lenses that would fint my camera and found that camera was first introduced to the public late 1979… so there you have it… say hello to my antique camera’s new found friend!
