Jewelries

Published by B under Sari-sari

My mom always tells me to wear earrings even if I’m just inside inside the house so that I would be more ladylike. But I’m not one who is fond of wearing jewelries, especially after that one incident when my bracelet was snatched. I don’t have a car so I commute wherever I go and I don’t want to attract anymore snatchers.

But don’t get me wrong, I love jewelries. I like them simple. And I love diamonds. I’ve always asked my mom for a simple diamond stud earrings but she always gives me a pair that’s really not my kind like hoop earrings or something that I wouldn’t dare wear while commuting. I even want my engangement ring (if ever I get engaged) to be very simple like the one pictured below. After all, it should be all about love and not the ring right? :)

And here’s a little tip from my former officemate Tita B on how to choose between silver or gold jewelries. If your skin tone is warm then gold would look good on you and if your skin tone is cold then silver, white gold or platinum is more your type. You will know if your skin tone is warm if you look good in clothes with warm tones like yellow, orange, red. If you look good in colors like blue or green then your skin tone is cold.

Realistic Shadow

Published by B under Sari-sari

Somebody from the forum where I hang out posted the link to Nancy Comelab’s tutorial about creating realistic shadows for your photo. What it does is it gives your photo a look that’s like it is slightly bended on the corners. There are actually lots of actions and templates that you can already buy from the different digital scrapbooking stores, but if you’re trying to cut down from unnecessary expenses like me, the tutorial will have to do. It’s not hard really, maybe it’ll get you a couple of tries before you get the hang it but after that it really is fairly easy. Here’s a sample of what I did:
