Have you ever tried taking diet pills? There are tons of diet pills available in the market, like eca stack, xenical, bangkok pills, etc, and in my long journey of trying to losing weight I’ve tried at least three kinds. The first one I’ve tried is like a dietary supplement which helps speed up my metabolism and it even comes with chewing gum that you have to chew for 10 minutes after every meal. I’ve also tried the very controversial Bangkok pills, which is rumored to contain a prohibited drug. And I’ve also tried Reductil, which is really intended for those who need to lose weight cause of an urgent need for a heart surgery. Amongst the three, Reductil is the one that worked the most but I stopped because I grew tried of it and the excessive sweating was really uncomfortable. Plus, it really was very expensive, I was spending like P3000 a month for it. Funny thing is, after losing weight, I gain it all back after a couple of years. So, will I still be taking diet pills in the future? I don’t think so. I think I’ll just watch what I eat and excercise a little until it becomes a part of my daily routine.

Our house will be celebrating it’s 15th birthday on December of this year. Yes, it’s been that long since we first moved here in Quezon City. It needs a little repainting and some of the plumbing fixtures needs replacement already but the rest of the house is still in very good condition. I love this house! It is located in small village and I love it here because it’s quiet and quite peaceful. There are very few incidents of burglary here, the guards roam around at night, and tricycles are not even allowed to enter the village.
The original design of our house used to have 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and one entertainment room. But due to our growing family, we had to divide the entertainment room into two and convert one part into my nephew’s room and the other room into the kids’ playroom. If we get enough funds, we’d like to have a third floor to add a couple more rooms for my niece and nephew and one more room which will be the new entertainment room. If that happens, I’d like to move on the third floor! Bet that would be exciting!

I miss one of my dear friends, Gail. We haven’t been in touch for a very long, long time now. I lost touch with him since we moved from Malabon to Quezon City in 1993. I remember when I still live in Malabon, my friends are all just about 5 minutes away and I can go their houses anytime I want to. I’ve only been to Gail’s house twice but both were fun experiences. He and his brother lives in an apartment in one of Malabon’s numerous eskenitas. Even if you’ve never been to their house, you can easily find it because of the very unique purple refrigerator that you can spot from the window. I remember Gail sometimes sleeps on the floor cause he said that the flatness of the floor helps in his posture correction. Then he has this janitor fish who literally cleans the aquarium… you can see it swimming from left the left side of the aquarium to the right side then top to bottom. His brother also owns a wild cat called alamid. I miss Gail… wish I could visit him again soon.

My cousin in California is having a home makeover. She and her husband bought her parents’ house when they went back here in the Philippines and now she wants to give it a makeover. She now has her own family and she needs to renovate her and her brother’s old rooms for her two kids. She’s asking to help her look for good furnitures and designs online. Good thing I found out about Link To Copy: DirectBuy. It’s a members-only showroom which gives its members the benefit of purchasing merchandise at manufacturer prices. I’m going to recommend this site to her and I’m pretty sure that the membership will be well worth it. Anyway, I’m really very excited about the boys’ rooms. I’m sure they’ll have a fun time helping decorate their own rooms!

I’ve notice that my nephew and I have been eating street food often these past couple of months. We eat barbecue and isaw at least once every two weeks. I know these are bad because the ones we’re eating are barbecued with the use of coal. And I’ve heard that these can cause cancer. But we just can’t resist it… it’s just so yummy and we just love barbecues! Anyway, maybe we should both start taking colon cleanser supplements to clean our systems. But I know that this is just a phase… we both just craved for the same food and it’ll pass in the near future after we’re satisfied with our cravings. Besides, I tend to eat more if I’m craving for something and I don’t eat it so, I might as well give in to my cravings.

Sometimes I imagine myself owning a car. I imagine that I could drive and I have enough moolah to buy a brand new car. I imagine going to my friends’ gimmicks and I can go to Anilao anytime I want to and anywhere else I want to go. But owning a car isn’t really that easy. First of all, gas prices are going up and then a car’s regular check up is also pretty expensive. Also, if your car is new then you’ll consider getting an insurance, which isn’t cheap either. I’ve looked for online auto insurance companies here the country and nothing’s really cheap. Thinking of all these expenses that goes with owning a car makes me feel dizzy. Haha! But I’d love to own a car someday and even learn how to drive it… someday.

I noticed one thing at home… we don’t have stereos anymore. We used to have about four stereos around the house but we got rid of it one by one. They all had the same problem, they all don’t play cds anymore. We took one to the electronic shop to get it fixed but the repairman said that the lens needed to be replaced and it is pretty expensive so we decided not to get it fixed anymore. Now we have a couple of audio racks but no stereos. Isn’t that funny? We all just use DVD players to play our cds and me, I just play my cds in the computer. I also got rid of all my cassette tapes. It’s taking too much space and I can’t listen to it anymore because I don’t have a cassette player. I’ve actually decided to downsize and get rid things that I don’t use anymore that I think I won’t be using in the next 10 years. It’s pretty hard but I did it!

Are you? I think I am. Lol! I’m just lazy but if I’m not then I’m sure I’d be vain. Whenever I travel, I want my shampoo, body wash, lotion, powder and cologne to all match. If I could buy a whole set then I would. Of course at home, it’s a different case. My shampoo and body wash don’t match but my lotion and cologne still do. I sometimes give myself a facial at home… I bought the products that I need and I have a book to guide me step-by-step. If I could only renovate our bathroom then I would put bathroom vanities and cabinets and I would also put a bath tub. I’m sure I’ll be spending more than half hour inside the bathroom then. Yeah, it takes me half an hour to 45 minutes to take a bath. I don’t know but I just love the water.
But what I don’t do is get pedicures and manicures. Like what I’ve said, I’m lazy and everyone tells me that once you had a pedicure or manicure then you’d have to do that regularly. I also don’t color my hair. My hair is pretty thin so I don’t go to parlors to have it dyed or to have a hot oil treatment.
