Motorcycles

Published by B under Sari-sari

I have a friend who loves motorcycles. He finds it more convenient, especially here in the Metro because of the traffic jams. And now he’s looking for used Harleys. But I don’t think we have them here. Me? I’ve ridden a motorbike once, in Thailand. I don’t even know how to bike. Haha! I think I got scared when I was still a kid and I saw my cousin fell down one. It wasn’t really tragic but I got scared anyway. But I’m still hoping I’d learn one day. And then maybe I could train and go biking around the metro and the nearby provinces. ;)

Prices

Published by B under Sari-sari

It’s sad to think about all the prices of basic commodities skyrocketing. And a lot of families in the US are experiencing foreclosure of their home. My BIL’s cousin owns a financing company and their business is slow because people just couldn’t afford to buy new houses anymore. And I just can’t believe how much a liter of gasoline now costs. I’d rather commute now than bring the car… it’s cheaper and more convenient anyway with all the traffic here in Manila. I just hope that Airlines won’t increase their fees because I’m really planning to travel on my won by the end of this year or early next year.

I Don’t Get Him

Published by B under Sari-sari

This is my first time to rant about my dad, so please forgive me. I love him but I just don’t get him. See, my niece is scheduled for her surgery next month and we’re all trying to save up for this. Of course we’re not obliged to but it would be nice if everyone in the family would do something for her.

So, my dad volunteered to pay our water bill every month but he never did. And now he just bought a new LCD TV and keeps bragging about it. Then he tells my sister to inquire if he can take a loan from his health insurance just so he could help with my niece’s surgery. What is up with that? I mean, if he really wanted to help then he should have not bought the TV and just saved up his money.

Eyeglasses

Published by B under Sari-sari

My niece and nephew have a new pair or eyeglasses. They went for a check-up with their ophthalmologist two weekends ago and this past weekend they got their new glasses already. I think I seriously need to get my eye check-up also… my glasses are already old and I think that’s what’s triggering my headaches these past few weeks. And I definitely need one with scratch-proof lenses. I remember my recent pair, it already had scratches from my first week of using it. Haha!

I Need

Published by B under Sari-sari

A friend of mine thinks I’m mental and that I NEED medication. Haha! I’m sure if I were using drugs, he’d be the first one to send me to a drug rehab. I was just too emotional when I talked to him. With all my problems about my family and my friends and my heart and nobody to really talk to about it, sometimes my tears just fall even when I’m not even thinking about it. And when I told him that, he suggested I go to a psychiatrist because he thinks I’m depressed. Believe me, I’m not! And he doesn’t really know me and how to handle me. I miss CO… at least he knows what to do when I’m like this… :(

Plans

Published by B under Sari-sari

So… I’m thinking of designing digital scrapbook stuff but I really don’t know where to begin. I’ve been thinking about this for a long time now but I don’t want to just purchase a subscription from a store to learn how to do it because I might grow tired of it quick. Of course eventually, I want to start selling too, but I need to do a market research first if it’ll be really worth my time and effort. But, as soon as get some free time, I’ll definitely create something just for fun and give it away as freebie. I already purchased some CU items to get me started and I’m going to play around with it soon. :D

Busy Day Yesterday

Published by B under Sari-sari

I had a busy day yesterday. I started cleaning my room and then I also started doing a new album for a client. Then I went out to help my friend find an acne treatment. Then when I got back, I did the invitation for my friend’s 1 year old baby. And then I cleaned some more. :)

I was dead tired by the end of the day, I wasn’t able to go jogging anymore. I just surfed the net for a while then I just watched a movie until I fell asleep. The movie was pretty interesting, I’ll post about it some other time.

So that was yesterday… today’s just okay, not so busy. I just hope I could finish my client’s album. :)

Cleaning My Clutter

Published by B under Sari-sari

I’m starting to get my room organized. I removed one cabinet which houses my clutter and I need some cardboard boxes to put some of my stuff in. I also removed a table because it’s just becoming another place to put all my clutters. Yeah, everything’s cluttered inside my room. LOL! I really need to get rid of some of my stuff but I just can’t. Next thing I’ll clean is my closet. For sure I’ve got tons of clothes in there that I need to get rid off already. And also bags and other more things that I just don’t use anymore.

The Oxford Murders

Published by B under Movies

I watched The Oxford Murders last night and I liked it. It is a thriller movie adapted from the award-winning novel of Guillermo Martinez. It was pretty interesting and it kept me guessing until the end but the suspense is not keeping me on my toes. It’s like the movie lacked something. One thing is for sure, And I found it funny because they were mentioning a lot of Mathematical terminologies like the Fibonacci Sequence and it reminded me so much of my college days. Anyway, I’ve read a lot of negative reviews about this movie but for me it doesn’t hurt to watch it. It’s still worth it somehow, especially if you like detective like films.

Starring: Elijah Wood, John Hurt, Leonor Watling
Director: Álex de la Iglesia

Plot:
November 1993. Wood plays Martin, an American student at the University of Oxford who wants Arthur Seldom (Hurt) as his thesis director. In a public lecture, Seldom quotes Wittgenstein’s Tractatus to deny the possibility of truth. Martin contests asserting his faith in the mathematics under reality. Later, Martin and Seldom coincide and find Martin’s landlady (also a friend of Seldom’s) murdered. Seldom declares to the police that he had received a note with his friend’s address marked as “the first of a series”. As Seldom is an authority on logical series, he suspects that a serial murderer is defying his intelligence. Martin, Seldom and Lorna (Leonor Watling), a Spanish nurse, will try to guess the following terms of the series as murders continue.
