Getting Old

Published by B under Sari-sari

… our house that is. And now we’re doing some some little renovations to keep it from looking old. Haha! First is the kitchen… my dad replaced some of the faucets with bar faucets because some of them already have leaks. And he is already done repainting all the walls downstairs, next is the walls upstairs. I really wanted a different color for my room because white just looks dirty, especially here in the Philippines, everything becomes dirty easily. I’m thinking of deep red, I just hope it won’t strain my eyes. We also had the roof checked especially now that it’s rainy season, just to make sure that nothing will leak. And on December, our house will be celebrating its 15th birthday! Yaya! Advance happy birthday house! :)

Running Shoes

Published by B under Window Shopping

I need a new pair of running shoes. I started jogging again and I’m using my Skechers with a garterized material and it just wouldn’t work. I think it’s becoming loose and it’s hard for me to run unless I wear a really thick socks. I’m not looking for a fancy one, just plain comfortable running shoes. Anyway, I’ve searched Adidas’ and Nike’s online stores and I only found one that I like from Adidas and lots from Nike. And here they are

Adidas Response Trainer 14

Nike Shox Turbo+ VI iD Women’s Running Shoe

Nike Air Max Assail V Women’s Trail Running Shoe

Nike Air Trail Pegasus+ 3 Women’s Trail Running Shoes

So, what do you think I should buy? I think I’ll go with the Pegasus. Aside from the color, I really like what the description says… it’s like this is just what I needed.

The Nike Air Trail Pegasus+ 3 Women’s Trail Running Shoe is ready to hit the trails and fly. Textured synthetic overlays can withstand whatever nature puts in your way, while a powerful midsole gives you the cushioning you’ve come to expect from a Pegasus.

I’ll look in the mall this weekend and see if I can afford it. Haha! I’ll look for an acne treatment, I’m still having a hard time sleeping which gives me more acne. My mind is still restless especially now that my niece’s surgery is already tomorrow morning. Please say a little prayer for her and send her positive thoughts. I’ll be forever thankful

I saw a request on my comment box for some more Indio I songs… just hang on and I’ll post one soon. :) Anyway, I really need to go to an office furniture store. I need a new computer table because my nephew broke the part where the keyboard should be. So now the keyboard is just on top of the table which leaves me no more space for other stuff, making it harder for me to work. I just hope I’ll find a cheap one. TTFN!

Swimwear

Published by B under Window Shopping

Summer’s gone but like what I’ve said on my other blog, I’m planning to go on a trip next year. And since I’ve lost 20 lbs, I need a new swimwear. It would be a shame though to get rid of my last one because it did cost me P3000 and I was able to wear it only once. Anyway, I’m now preparing my list of things to buy and among them are swimming gears, you know, swimwear, cover-ups, flip-flops, etc. I don’t wear two-piece, a tankini maybe so I’m going for a one-piece suit. Only problem with a one-piece suit is you have to remove it everytime you go to the bathroom. Anyway, i surfed the net and here are a few pieces I’ve found that I like

Pretty huh? I just wish I’ll find some close to that here in the Philippines… the flip-flops maybe but I’m not sure about the swimwear and the top.

Billiards

Published by B under Sari-sari

I don’t really play billiards but I find it pretty interesting, especially being a math major. I feel like I need to do a little computation before I start playing. Haha! But I tried playing it once and I really enjoyed it. But I’m afraid I might hit the ball too hard and it’ll bounce off the table and hit someone. Anyway, the first time I tried playing billiards the I was with was very patient in teaching me. He taught me how to hold the pool cues correctly and I even thought he was flirting because he was touching my hand while he taught me. Haha! He even taught me how to hit by putting the cue stick at my back and he was almost hugging me and I was blushing. Haha! I really had fun, plus the fact that he is good looking and I kinda like him. ;)

Next time I played was with my friends but I got more focused on bowling than with billiards. I guess it got boring without all the flirting, huh? Hahaha! All my friends did was laugh at me because I looked too silly playing billiards. Maybe I’ll just ask him to teach me again then get back at my friends and beat them… that would be the day!

Shopping Itch

Published by B under Sari-sari

Do you ever get that feeling when you’re itching to buy something even though you don’t need anything at that moment? I’m experiencing it right now but I’m still trying my best to be practical. I so so wanted to buy something for my scrapbooking stash and I’ve been surfing the stores since last night, itching to buy something. There are actually a lot that I want but the question is do I need it? So what I do is I look closely at what’s included in the kit, I look for the thing that really attracts me and try to recall if I already own something similar to that. So far it’s working but I then there are the sales… like today it’s Fab Friday at Scrapartist and I already something that I’ve wanted to buy for sometime now that’s included in the sale. I’m just waiting for the other items that would be added and I’m definitely buying that thing. Haha!

Anyway, I accompanied my friend last Monday… he went shopping for some kitchen stuff that he’d be needing in his new venture. It was so funny because when we were on our way out of the store he told me that he’s also itching to buy something but what he needed wasn’t available. Haha! Good thing I wasn’t able to look around the store because for sure I’ll find something i wanted. I was carrying his baby who was asleep because we didn’t bring a stroller with us, that’s why I wasn’t able to look around.

And speaking of strollers I remember we still have a couple in the basement which we are not using anymore, maybe I could give it to him. We used to own the big bulky one, it’s really convenient when shopping, in a way, because aside from the kid, it can also accommodate your shopping stuff. But it is very heavy and bulky. So when the kids grew up, we just bought the smaller and simpler ones. Strollers are also very convenient because you don’t go around chasing the kids and they could rest when they’re tired whenever they want. I could just imagine how hard it is if we don’t bring strollers with us when going to the mall. So yeah I’ll ask my sister if she doesn’t need the strollers anymore then I’ll give it to my friend so they don’t have to buy anymore.

Reading

Published by B under Sari-sari

It’s been ages since I last finished reading a book and I miss it! I’m just too lazy these days and everytime up I open one, I always end up sleeping. Must be weather. Haha! Anyway, I’m browsing the Amazon books to give me some ideas what books to read. And I might drop by the book store near my place this weekend. They sell second hand books in cheap price but mint condition. And another thing I love about them is you can ask them for a certain title and they would hunt it for you and reserve it. I remember that’s how I got my hardbound copy of Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer and the copy they gave looks as good as brand new one, I was so happy! I’ve always loved going to bookstores! I just love the smell of the books, especially the old ones! :) And I’ll buy my niece and nephew a couple of children’s books and activity books too. They spend way too much time in front of the TV.

Perfect Blend of Friendship

Published by B under Sari-sari

Thank you Yen for this! I’m touched! :)

Awarded: Mai | Yen | Buge | Your blog where you posted this.

I’m passing on this award to all my online friends who frequents this blog. Please feel free to snag this. :)

I just talked to my friend the other day and she’s planning to buy a new computer soon. She’s interested in the Toshiba Satellite but she’s still thinking about. Her last one was a Dell but she gave it to her brother when she went home last January. I really hope she’ll be able to buy soon so keeping in touch with each other won’t be so darn expensive. She doesn’t want me to call her because long distance calls are expensive so I just wait for her to call. At least when she’s online, we can talk to each other through YM or Skype as often as we want to. :)
