LOTR Finally!

Published by B under Movies

Yep, finally I got my family to watch LOTR… the three extended version! Haha! My nephew had a sprain on his ankle so he was home the whole with nothing to do. So we watched it. Then my dad and sister eventually got interested too. And even the two little kids watched it too… not the whole movie of course but there were some scenes that got their attention. And my niece, who’s 5 years old, already knows some of the characters… she said she likes the 4 Hobbits. :)

And speaking of Hobbit… do you know Sean Astin? The one who played Samwise Gamgee? Well, he’s also the lead role in one of my favorite movies (especially when I was still a kid) The Goonies! :)

His character is Mikey. He was so cute when he was a kid and I remember having a crush on him. Haha! But he’s bigger now… hmmm… maybe he should start drinking diet pills. Haha! He also played the role of Drew Barrymore’s brother in 50First Dates. :)

1st Official Lomo Cam

Published by B under My Finds

I just ordered my very first official Lomo cam! Yay! I’m going to get sometime in the next 10 days… the seller is still waiting for the orders to arrive. I’m so excited! I bought the pink Holga 120GCFN… it’s so cute and so girly! Haha!

I’m going to the bank next week to deposit the payment to the seller’s account. Speaking of banks… I wonder if there is a lomo themed cheque. My aunt has a checking account and she has personalized cheques with a teddy bear design. I bet it would be cool if there is a lomography design too. :)

Earrings

Published by B under Sari-sari

I have this set of earrings that was given by my friend, Che. It’s a silver one with green flowers in the middle. I really like… it’s cute! And I even bought a matching silver necklace with a green flower pendant. Unfortunately, I lost it when I went to AA’s house last week. :(

His brother was able to find one piece then I put it in my pocket and when I looked for it when I got home, it’s not there anymore. Stupid me! :( Anyway, I’ll just look for a new pair when I go to the mall. I really like the pendant so I have to find a matching pair of earrings and maybe a bracelet too. :) Yay! More shopping! Haha!

I have a question for my readers… what do you think of iPods?I really want to get an iPod Classic but I’m thinking about because my nephews owns 2 iPods already, a shuffle and a nano. HisiPod Shuffle just suddenly stopped working and just the other week, his laptop wouldn’t recognize his nano. He brought it to the Apple center and they said that they had to reset it because there was something wrong with the program. Hmmm… so waht do you think? Should I still buy one?

CD-R

Published by B under My Finds

Yay! I finally can free up a lot of space in my hard drive. I finally have 100 pieces blank CDRs! Yay! But I wasn’t to go shopping… I just asked my sister to buy it for me because I had to stay home to look after my older nephew who sprained his ankle.

It’s still like my old pictured above, but this time it’s color blue and red. Yeah, I’m really very picky even with my CDs. Haha! And I don’t like those generic CDs because based on my experience, they get scratched easily compared to those branded ones. You know, I think trying promotional products first is a really good idea. That way, you can be able to tell if you like a product or not before compromising your $$$.

Belts

Published by B under Sari-sari

I’m in serious need of new belts. I don’t really like wearing belts but now I have to because all my pants are loose. And I think I have just two belts and they’re both too big. I’m thinking of taking it to the dressmaker to add some more holes. Haha! I think I’d buy those belts with no holes… you know, like a garrison belt? I don’t really know what it’s called. Or maybe I should just make one, like the D ring belts, at least I could choose the fabric and colors I want and I could make as many as I want. Great idea huh? And maybe I could even sell them… Haha!

This weekend, I’m going to my friend’s house. We’re going shopping for some contemporary furnitures for their new office. I’m excited already!!! Maybe I could go shopping for belts too. :)

New Slippers

Published by B under Sari-sari

My uncle just got home from the U.S. earlier today. And my cousin gave me a new pair of slippers! Yay! I’m so happy! I was just thinking about buying a new pair the other day and now I don’t have to. :) Here it is…

And I even love the design and colors! A big thanks to my ate Ching-ching! I really love it!!!

Anyway, I miss my friend Carl! He’s in the States right now, studying. He put up an NGO and now so concentrated on this. He could have been a futures broker, he used to work in the stocks section of a famous bank here in the Philippines but he said money doesn’t interest him so he shifted careers. He was really doing good but I guess he’s right, money really isn’t everything and he’s really happy now with his chosen field. Anyway, he came home last summer but we didn’t get to see each other so now I’ll have til December to see him. :(

Phantom of the Opera

Published by B under Movies

I watched the Phantom of the Opera yesterday and I’m loving Gerard Butler! He’s so gorgeous! Haha! He’s also the main character in the movie 300. Anyway, my friends may think I’m weird but I really like watching musicals, and I once dreamed of being a part of a musical. Another one of my wishful thinkings. In Phantom of the Opera, I love the songs Think of Me and Music of the Night. But I don’t like the singing voice of the Phantom in the movie, it’s just not powerful enough but he really is gorgeous! Anyway, a few years I downloaded the whole script of the Original London Musical, I printed it and listened to the whole soundtrack so I could understand the story very well. Haha! I like the songs there better than the ones in the movie. I know I still have it hidden somewhere… I might just dig it up again and listen to the whole soundtrack again. :) I’m actually watching the movie again, well, not really watching but I have it as my background music, hoping it will inspire me to scrap.

On another note, this totally not related to the Phantom of the Opera… my mom will be arriving soon! Yay! 28 more days and she’s back home! And next month, some of my aunts and uncles will be coming home too for a vacation and I’m really excited cause we might go on a road trip! :) I wonder if there are cell phone amplifiers available here in the Philippines. My provider is Globe and I have to admit their signal really sucks when I’m in the province. As if I’m expecting many calls… Haha! Anyway, I’ll just go look when I go to Greenhills this weekend.Have a great week everyone!

No Sweat

Published by B under Sari-sari

Now here’s a thought… I’d like to be active in mountaineering again and I like Nike’s Dri-Fit stuff. Do you think I should buy one and use it on my next adventure?
