My BIL, nephew and I went to Bocaue the other day to buy firecrackers. My sister and the kids were also with us. It was my BIL and my nephew who went from store to store to check out what’s new and to compare prices. My sister and I just stayed in the car with the kids. They bought a lot already but they still went back there yesterday to buy some more, this time with my mom and my aunt and uncle. We will all be spending new year’s eve at my aunt’s house together with my cousins and I don’t know how they’re gonna light up all those firecrackers. All I’m absolutely sure of is I’m not gonna help. Haha!
Here’s what they bought:

There’s still one more set but my BIL arranged them in a box already and I was too lazy to put them out again just to take some photos. And I don’t know what the names of these firecrackers are and what exactly they do or look like. Haha!

You know those vending machines in toys stores where you put a coin in and get a surprise item from a certain set, usually keychains? Well, my BIL got addicted to it and I joined him too… a little! Haha!
Now, I’d like you to meet Mario…

Mario is depicted as a short, pudgy, Italian-American plumber who lives in the Mushroom Kingdom, having originated from New York. He’s worth P100 (two tokens). I got him on my first try! Yay me! Haha!
And meet Mario’s younger brother, Luigi…

Luigi is normally depicted as cowardly, but when he does get the courage to step up, he can be tough and overcome his fears. He’s also worth P100 (two tokens). Got him on my first try also!
I think I’m a little lucky because they’re the two characters that I really want and I got them both. My BIL got a few characters already before he got Mario and he got a lot of duplicates before he got Luigi. By the way, we both got Luigi today.
I’m not sure if I still want to complete the whole set but my BIL does, and the only one he’s missing is Donkey Kong… maybe I’ll show you his collection one time.
They’re supposed to be my new phone’s buddies but they have to wait for a couple of days.

I just wanted to share this with you. This paperbag from Crabtree & Evelyn had been sitting on the table outside my room for sometime and I didn’t look at it, thinking it was my sister’s. Then after a couple of days, my sister said it was for me! Yay! It was her boss’ gift for me as token because I did their Christmas & anniversary party banner. It was a really nice gesture and I wasn’t really expecting anything. And here’s what’s inside:

The soap smells good!!! Anyway, she also asked me to make an album for her… their Christmas & 5th Anniversary Party album. I’m just not sure if she’s hiring me for my services or if she’s asking me a favor. Whichever, I’d be glad to.

Yesterday, my nephew and I practiced cooking for Christmas day. We’ll help prepare our Christmas day food by making Char Kway Teow and Cheesecake. Anyway, while I was browsing the net for recipes, I came across this no-knead bread recipe and it reminded me that we have a bread maker. I told my nephew about it and he didn’t believe me. So, we asked my mom she asked ask to help look for it. While searching, we found our hot air popcorn machine! I missed that one! I think I asked before where it was and they didn’t know. Now we can make popcorn anytime we want without any hassle! And it’ll be perfect this Christmas vacation since my nephew and I are planning to watch a LOT of movies on my dad’s new home theater furniture and TV! Yay!

One of my most favorite pair of shoes are loafers. I love loafers because it never goes out of style and you can wear it with jeans, slacks, shorts, skirts and dresses. It’s a classic and very comfortable too! I remember my very pair of loafers, it’s Italian and the color is likeĀ a brownish maroon. And I went online window shopping today for loafers at SHOEbuy and here are the pairs that I liked:

Bass Wayfarer

Rockport Cushner

Franco Sarto Cash
Gorgeous, aren’t they? I promise myself I’m going to buy me a pair next year! for the meantime, I have to fix my stuff first and put all the office supplies in one place so it’ll be easier when I’m looking for something when doing a project.

Have you ever dreamed of becoming a junk art artist? I’ve always been fascinated by those who could create something that’s three-dimensional, and those who could create something who could create something from junk or objects that’s just lying around, from nuts and bolts to ball lock pins. Take a look at this one for example:

It’s a junk yard fish created by Joe Pogan using various found metal objects. Amazing isn’t it?

I was browsing Etsy earlier today, looking for wedding gift ideas for my friends and lookie at what I saw:

Haha! I mean, who would want a faucet on their jewelries? No offense, I’m sure there are others out there who might like it but not me. Not that I think it looks silly but I just don’t know what it is for. I always think of those charms as something that you really, really like or something that you can relate to or something that symbolizes something.

Have you seen these?

It’s a Mickey Mouse MP3 player by iRiver. It’s tiny and it’s cute! I’ve also read that it has good sound quality so considering the price, it is a good buy. It has a LED indicator and you can also use it as a flash storage. The ears are used to adjust the volume and to scroll through the song tracks. It comes with a high-speed USB 2.0 cable and battery life lasts for approximately 9 hours, just connect it to your computer for charging.
I’ve seen a lot of sellers in Multiply and the price ranges from P1200 to P3500, depending on the storage capacity. I’m itching to buy one, the pink one, but I’m thinking if I buy this then buy an ebook reader, then might as well just save up for a second hand iTouch right? My niece bought an 8GB second-hand iTouch in Greenhills for only P8000. And that was a couple of months ago, maybe it’ll be cheaper by the time I buy it. But I’ll still be saving up for these buy a couple for my niece and nephew.

Finally, I got hold of my own copy of the book! After days weeks of searching, National Bookstore in Trinoma finally released a few copies. Good thing I went there with my nephew. I was having thoughts when he asked me if I wanted to come because I was feeling lazy. Haha!
I also saw my friend from high school. We talked a little, more like gossiped, haha, about our batchmates. You know, like who recently got married and got separated, who’s dating who, who’s taking diet pills, etc. These gossips just don’t die, do they? I wonder what they say about me…
