Finally, I got hold of my own copy of the book! After days weeks of searching, National Bookstore in Trinoma finally released a few copies. Good thing I went there with my nephew. I was having thoughts when he asked me if I wanted to come because I was feeling lazy. Haha!
I also saw my friend from high school. We talked a little, more like gossiped, haha, about our batchmates. You know, like who recently got married and got separated, who’s dating who, who’s taking diet pills, etc. These gossips just don’t die, do they? I wonder what they say about me…

I got hold of a copy of Twilight Soundtrack and The Score albums and I listened to both already. The soundtrack was nice. It has a nice selection of songs, a couple were a little off the theme of Bella and Edward’s love story, but the others are good and I like most of it. My most favorite, well aside from Claire De Lune, is Never Think by Rob Pattinson. It sounded like Ben Harper’s style, another one of my favorites.
The Score is also nice, you’ll surely love it if you’re a fan of the movie. You’ll relive the scenes in your head while you’re listening to the album. I especially liked Phascination Phase, The Lion Fell in Love with the Lamb, and Bella’s Lullaby. The second one reminding me of the movie Interview with the Vampire, the scene where Lestat was playing the piano. I’m planning to read the book while listening to this. Haha!
You can read about the movie here.

Tell me what you think of this:

Cute isn’t it? It’s actually a USB flash drive. Now tell me it’s still cute when you see this:

Looks kinda tragic, doesn’t it? Makes me feel sad for the teddy.

My Marie Antoinette headband finally arrived! I was kinda worried because I’m fairly new to Etsy and this was only my third purchase. The first two sellers of my purchases sent me messages, letting me know that they received the payment already and will ship my orders ASAP. With this third seller, I never heard from her. I even sent her two messages just to confirm the address and nada… not even to say that she got my message or that she already received my payment or that she already shipped the item. Well anyway, it’s finally here so no harm done. And here it is:

Pretty isn’t it? And it’s really nice! I was a little worried that it might slide off my hair when I wear it because I thought the ornate stamping was heavy and the headband has no teeth. So, I tried it on as soon as I got and it didn’t slide off my hair! It kept in place and it wasn’t even heavy. I’m really happy for my purchase!

I bought two books today… The Notebook and Nights in Rodanthe, both by Nicholas Sparks. I have ebook copies of both and I’ve already seen The Notebook’s movie version and my cousin already told me the story of Nights in Rodanthe when we were in Mindoro but I still bought the books. Silly huh? Oh well, I don’t have an ebook reader yet and it may be awhile before I buy one and my main purpose why I went to the bookstore was to see if they have a copy of Veronika Decides to Die and they don’t so I ended up buying the two.

Both books are previously owned. I got a paperback copy of The Notebook for P149 and a hardbound copy of Nights in Rodanthe for P398. Not bad huh?
ETA: December 3, I finished reading Nights in Rodanthe last night and it’s nice… I cried! Haha! Can’t wait to get a copy of the movie.

Another thing to add to my wishlist are a couple of pairs of Birkenstock. First is the classic Taupe Suede Arizona. I love those sandals with two straps. I remember on my orientation day in college, I wore a pair of black two-strap sandals (Esprit) and one of the older guys shouted at me that it wasn’t allowed in the university’s dress code. Haha! Freshman pa lang pasaway na! Of course, I didn’t know about it and later on they considered it given that you should wear socks. And one of my crushes, named Nilo, remembered me because of those slippers. He told me I was cool.

I remember also that I had a of sandals almost similar to this one except that it’s not Birkenstock. I wore it almost everyday going to school. Unfortunately it finally gave up on me when I brought it to Boracay, I think. Anyway, here’s another pair that I would love to have, a Strawberry Isis (Birko-Flor):

This reminded of the scents that I used to wear back then also, Mark & Spencer’s Isis and Florentyna. Those were my signature scents when I was in college according to my friends.

So, that’s more about me. Talk to you all again next time. I’m off now to go shopping for silk ties for my friend.

I just made my very first Etsy purchase. Well, not really my first, but it’s the first one for myself. Haha! Lookie at what I bought…it’s an antique style, Marie Antoinette inspired headband.

Isn’t it gorgeous? I was also planning it with this bracelet below thinking it would go together. But I decided against it because I thought it would look overkill if I wear the headband and the bracelet at the same time.

And I also think that the filagree looks a little big… people might mistake me as a piece of furniture. Haha! So, what do you think about my purchase? I can’t wait to receive it!!!
I’m telling you, window shopping on Etsy is really dangerous. Instead of me saving up for something more important like a new computer or a health insurance or a new pair of rubber shoes at least, I’m spending my money on accessories! Haha! But I promised myself not to spend too much in there. And looking at the accessories there actually inspires me to create my own. Now, I’m so looking forward to go to Quiapo to buy some beads! And who knows, maybe one day I’ll end up selling my creations too! Haha!

I love to travel! And I love outdoor trips! It all started when I was in senior high when we had a bivouac and I really enjoyed the experience. When I got to college, our school had an outdoor club and I joined. It gave me the opportunity to go different places around the country and experience different adventures. Of course when going on outdoor trips, there are some essentials that I need to bring everytime and I eventually adopted it whenever I travel, even on non-outdoor trips. And I’m going to share them with you here on my blog. I never go on trips without most of these stuff.

TP | Alcohol | Insect Repellent | Wipes

Tripod Stool | Waterproof Pouch | Emergency Poncho | Chow Kit

Mini MagLite | Nite Ize Headlamp Headband | Victorinox Camper | Lighter
There you have it. Can imagine now how much stuff I have with me whenever I go on trips? Too bad I was never a girl scout, I could have been a good one. Haha!
Okay, I’ll go search for auto insurance online for my uncle. Laters!

I thought I’d share something about my vanity. Haha! Here are my essentials bath and body products both for home and travels and gimmicks…

Goody No Slide Headbands | Goody Ouchless Elastics | Goody Contour Clips
I love Goody products because they’re reliable. I especially love the contour clips and always buy the silver pack with at least 12 clips in it.

The Body Shop Lemongrass Deodorising Foot Spray | Gilette Venus | Cetaphil | Oral B Toothbrush | St. Ives Apricot Scrub | The Body Shop Bath Gloves | The Body Shop Terracota Pumice | Oral B Satin Floss
I love, love these products! First, the electronic toothbrush really cleans my teeth compared to ordinary toothbrush. And can you tell I love The Body Shop? Haha! First, my sometimes sweat especially when I’m trekking and the Lemongrass Spray really keeps my feet smelling fresh. The Terracota Pumice is great for keeping my feet smooth and it doesn’t scratch or scrape my skin.

Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey | The Body Shop: Matte It Face & Lips, Brow & Lash Gel, Lip & Cheek Stain, Retractable Blusher Brush, Nature’s Minerals Foundation Shade 02, Raspberry Born Lippy Balm
I don’t usually put makeup and whenever I do, I use these just for a tint of color and not heavy makeup. I especially love the Almost Lipstick, Cheek & Lip Stain and Born Lippy Balm.

Hugo Woman | L’eau Par Kenzo | Ralph for Women
My most favorite among the three? L’eau Par Kenzo!

Bath & Body WorksBlack Raspberry Vanilla | Bath & Body Works Mango Mandarin
These are my absolute favorites! Includes hand gel, shower gel, shampoo, body splash and body lotion.

Nivea A Kiss of Protection | Coppertone Sport Continuous Spray | Coppertone Sport Stick | Banana Boat Aloe After Sun Gel
These are my travel essentials. The stick is for the face so it won’t get to my eyes and the aloe gel is my best friend when I get sunburned.
So, am I vain or what? Haha! Share me your essentials!

My previous post was about lomography cameras and accessories that I want to buy in the near future… now, I’m going to pimp about what I already own. Well, there are actually only two but I’m really proud of these babies! And these made me fall in love with lomography!
First is my Holga 120GCFN… it’s pink and it’s huge! Haha! The 120 stands for 120 film format, the G stands glass lens, the CF for color flash (white, red, yellow and blue), and I really don’t know about the N. LOL!

Next is my Vivitar Ultra Wide & Slim. It is a non-LSI endorsed camera, it is still considered as one because of its vignette effect. Is is also sometimes referred to as the poor man’s lomo/lca.

Aren’t they nice? Oh well, talk to y’all later… I’ll just go look for kids wagons for the kiddos.

I’m not really into shopping for clothes and accessories but I’ve got a new bag and wallet! Haha! Well, most of my clothes are bought by my mom and dad, some by my cousin in the US… bags… well I do buy a few but mostly for my trips… shoes… aahh now we’re talking. Haha! I really love shoes but that’s not what I’m going to show you today…
My cousin gave me a boho bag and it’s silver! Haha! I like it! Really! It’s just that I’m not used to anything sparkly, except for jewelries. Hmmmm, I’ll try to use it one day and see how people would react. It’s like the picture below except that it’s really sparkly (yes, it’s sparklier than mirrors haha!) and it’s got zipper and a double belt strap.

And my Aunt gave me a wallet… a Sydney Love Wardrobe Wallet.

I like the print on this one… it’d be perfect for a trip to Paris or New York! Haha! As if…
