The Outfit Test

Published by B under Sari-sari

I took this test and here’s the result

What This Outfit Says About You

You are a confident person. You don’t need a certain outfit to feel good about yourself. You prefer to stay casual. You rather speak for yourself than have your clothes speak for you.

You are energetic and adventurous. You are up for anything, and you love being surprised. You are often cheerful and optimistic. You approach life with curiosity and an open heart.

Your high end fashion designer match: Chloe

Your must have accessory: A funky red bag

The Outfit Test

So true! At least from my point of view. Haha!

Leukemia

Published by B under Sari-sari

I read this article about Francis M and his having leukemia and it made me think about myself, not that I’m paranoid or anything. The article mentioned that some of the symptoms of having leukemia are shortness of breath, paleness and fatigue. And here are the general symptoms that I found on the net:

* Anemia — Children with leukemia often have fewer than normal healthy red blood cells and platelets. They lack enough red blood cells to carry oxygen through the body, which causes a condition called anemia. Children with anemia may look pale, feel weak and tired and bleed and bruise easily.
* Recurrent Infections — Although children with leukemia may have a high number of white blood cells, these white blood cells are immature and don’t fight infection. Children may experience repetitive viral or bacterial infections. They often have symptoms of infection such as fever, runny nose and cough.
* Bone and Joint Pain — Pain in bones and joints is another common symptom of leukemia. This pain is usually a result of the bone marrow being overcrowded and “full.”
* Abdominal Distress — Abdominal pain also may be a symptom. Leukemia cells can collect in the kidney, liver and spleen, causing enlargement of these organs. Pain in the abdomen may cause a loss of appetite and weight.
* Swollen Lymph Nodes — Lymph nodes under the arms, in the groin, chest and neck may become swollen when leukemia cells collect in the nodes. Lymph nodes filter the blood.
* Difficulty Breathing or Dyspnea — With T-cell acute lymphocytic leukemia, leukemia cells tend to clump together around the thymus gland. This mass of cells present in the middle of the chest can cause pain and difficulty breathing. Wheezing, coughing or painful breathing requires immediate medical attention.

And here’s what I’ve been experiencing or had experienced in the past: shortness of breath, paleness, fatigue, and lately, bone and joint pain, which I think may be the cause of the cold weather and lack of exercise. I think I had anemia but because I was really pale before and since the red blood cells are the ones carrying oxygen in our body, this resulted to my shortness of breath and palpitations. And my monthly periods were really heavy which may have caused this but it regulated and the other symptoms stopped when I took ferrous sulfate supplement for about a month. But now the palpitations are back but just a little. The fatigue, there came a time when I got tired very easily without really doing heavy activities. So, what do you think? Am I just being paranoid? And I definitely don’t want to go to a doctor but I’m predicting I’m going to sometime soon. I guess it’s time for me to look for term life insurance rates now huh? Haha!

Moleskine

Published by B under Window Shopping

I want!!!

Moleskine is the heir of the legendary notebook, used by European artists and thinkers for the past two centuries.

This silent and discreet keeper of an extraordinary tradition, which has been missing for years, has been reproduced by the Italian company Modo & Modo since 1998. With its various different page styles it accompanies the creative professions and has become a symbol of contemporary nomadism.

Moleskine is a family of notebooks for different functions, according with a free mindstyle, both basic and emotional.

I want a Sketchbook and a Cahier and I’m getting mine from Avalon.ph, it’s cheaper there than in the official Moleskine PH site.

I’m off to the mall now to look for a TV stand for our TV in the living room. TTYL!

Birkenstock & Isis

Published by B under Mine, Window Shopping

Another thing to add to my wishlist are a couple of pairs of Birkenstock. First is the classic Taupe Suede Arizona. I love those sandals with two straps. I remember on my orientation day in college, I wore a pair of black two-strap sandals (Esprit) and one of the older guys shouted at me that it wasn’t allowed in the university’s dress code. Haha! Freshman pa lang pasaway na! Of course, I didn’t know about it and later on they considered it given that you should wear socks. And one of my crushes, named Nilo, remembered me because of those slippers. He told me I was cool. :D

I remember also that I had a of sandals almost similar to this one except that it’s not Birkenstock. I wore it almost everyday going to school. Unfortunately it finally gave up on me when I brought it to Boracay, I think. Anyway, here’s another pair that I would love to have, a Strawberry Isis (Birko-Flor):

This reminded of the scents that I used to wear back then also, Mark & Spencer’s Isis and Florentyna. Those were my signature scents when I was in college according to my friends.

So, that’s more about me. Talk to you all again next time. I’m off now to go shopping for silk ties for my friend.

Marie Antoinette Headband

Published by B under Mine

I just made my very first Etsy purchase. Well, not really my first, but it’s the first one for myself. Haha! Lookie at what I bought…it’s an antique style, Marie Antoinette inspired headband.

Isn’t it gorgeous? I was also planning it with this bracelet below thinking it would go together. But I decided against it because I thought it would look overkill if I wear the headband and the bracelet at the same time.

And I also think that the filagree looks a little big… people might mistake me as a piece of furniture. Haha! So, what do you think about my purchase? I can’t wait to receive it!!!

I’m telling you, window shopping on Etsy is really dangerous. Instead of me saving up for something more important like a new computer or a health insurance or a new pair of rubber shoes at least, I’m spending my money on accessories! Haha! But I promised myself not to spend too much in there. And looking at the accessories there actually inspires me to create my own. Now, I’m so looking forward to go to Quiapo to buy some beads! And who knows, maybe one day I’ll end up selling my creations too! Haha!

Travel Essentials

Published by B under Mine

I love to travel! And I love outdoor trips! It all started when I was in senior high when we had a bivouac and I really enjoyed the experience. When I got to college, our school had an outdoor club and I joined. It gave me the opportunity to go different places around the country and experience different adventures. Of course when going on outdoor trips, there are some essentials that I need to bring everytime and I eventually adopted it whenever I travel, even on non-outdoor trips. And I’m going to share them with you here on my blog. I never go on trips without most of these stuff.

TP | Alcohol | Insect Repellent | Wipes

Tripod Stool | Waterproof Pouch | Emergency Poncho | Chow Kit

Mini MagLite | Nite Ize Headlamp Headband | Victorinox Camper | Lighter

There you have it. Can imagine now how much stuff I have with me whenever I go on trips? Too bad I was never a girl scout, I could have been a good one. Haha!

Okay, I’ll go search for auto insurance online for my uncle. Laters!

Backpack

Published by B under Window Shopping

I need a new travel backpack. All my life I’ve only had two… the first one was a Jansport overnight pack. It’s color blue and has no special anything. It’s just a plain backpack with a pocket on the flap. But that’s what I used for the longest time, which reminds me that it is still with Carl. I had to replace it because the rubbery plastic coating of the lining inside the bag started to come off already. My second one was a North Face daypack. It still looks new but same with the Jansport, the coating inside is starting to come off and it’s making my clothes look dirty. Another thing is, it is small so I have to limit what I bring when going on a trip and I hate bringing more than one bag when traveling.

I love backpacks because it frees both your hands. I remember my friends and I bought a duffel bag, a Polo Sport one, and we all got the same type and color. It really is pretty but it’s also heavy even if it is still empty. So, just imagine me stuffing all my things in there. I was supposed to bring it when I went to La Union and Baguio but I barely could lift it when it was already full. I had to unpack again and transfer all my stuff to my North Face daypack. Haha! And I love backpacks because it is much easier to organize stuff in it. Imagine, I could make 7 days worth of clothes, toiletries, my swimwear, my towel, and my hoodie jacket in a daypack and it still has a little space on the top.

Anyway, this is what I’m planning to buy
